From the North Heading south along the Pacific Highway, turn left at Exit 57 to Hope Island, two kilometres past Dreamworld. Follow the signs indicating Highway 4 to Hope Island along the Oxenford-Southport Road. Continue through several roundabouts then straight through the roundabout that leads past Sanctuary Cove. Travel one kilometre and then turn left at the following roundabout into Sickle Avenue. Follow Sickle Avenue along until you come to John Lund Drive on your left hand side. Departure terminal is located on the left hand side in John Lund Drive with the car park access on the left and right hand side, opposite the departure terminal. From the south Heading north along the Pacific Highway, turn left at Exit 57 after the Movie World / Wet'n'Wild theme parks. Follow the slip road indicating Highway 4 to Hope Island along the Oxenford-Southport Road. Continue through several roundabouts then straight through the roundabout that leads past Sanctuary Cove. Departure terminal is located on the left hand side in John Lund Drive with the car park access on the left and right hand side, opposite the departure terminal.Car Parking Secure outdoor airline-style parking is provided for all guest cars at the Hope Harbour Departure Terminal at a nominal cost of $5.00 per car per day to a maximum charge of $25.00 per car. By air It takes 50 minutes from Gold Coast Airport (Coolangatta) and 60 minutes from Brisbane Airport to get to Couran Cove Island Resort. Coaches and limousine are available at both airports to transfer guests to the Couran Cove Island Resort Departure Terminal at Hope Harbour. Our Reservations Department can arrange our contracted operator to transfer you to Couran Cove Island Resort from both Brisbane and Coolangatta Airports. Alternatively, there is also a wide range of airport and limousine transfers available at both airports (charges apply and bookings essential 24 hours prior). By train For guests arriving by train, Couran Cove Island Resort's Hope Harbour Departure Terminal is just a short taxi ride from Coomera Station. Leaving the mainland...By Ferry When you arrive at our mainland terminal you can then enjoy our relaxing passenger ferry to Couran Cove. Please ensure that you arrive at the Couran Cove Island Resort Departure Ferry Terminal 45 - 60 minutes prior to the departure time of the ferry to enable our airline-style check in process before you go to the resort. All passengers must have a ferry ticket before boarding the vessel. Unlimited ferry transfers are provided with stays of 3 nights or more upon paying the initial ferry cost listed above. By Water taxiIf you need to get over to the resort outside of the above scheduled ferry times, private water taxi transfers are available to book outside regular ferry schedules from $150.00 per vessel, one way. Please note there is a $55.00 berthing fee for any charter ferry pick-up or drop-off at Marina Mirage. (Above prices and schedules are valid from 1 April 2007 to 31 March 2008 and subject to variation without notice.Bookings subject to vessel availability and can be altered subject to weather conditions) IMPORTANT RESORT PRE ARRIVAL INFORMATION 1. Check in time and Check-out time: As check-in time is from 2.30 pm, we recommend that you make suitable travel arrangements to use the ferries that are scheduled after this time to get to the Resort. If arriving on an earlier ferry, please remember to bring a ‘day bag’ as luggage once checked in to the mainland terminal is transferred directly to your room only after the room becomes available. Until your bags get to your room, you will not have access to checked in baggage. We have a hospitality villa available on the island for your convenience prior to getting access to your room on arrival day and for your departure day. As checkout time is 10.30 am, if you decide to travel back to the mainland on a later ferry, once again a ‘day bag’ is advisable, as luggage once collected after departure time is not accessible until your return to the mainland
2. Ferry Passenger terminal and car parking The Couran Cove Island Resort Ferry passenger terminal and registration area is located at Hope Harbour Marina, John Lund Drive, Hope Island on the northern Gold Coast. Car parking is available at a cost of $5.00 per vehicle per night (to a maximum charge of $25.00 per stay),. Transfer to the Island is by fast cat passenger ferry so please be prepared to park your car in the parking station, unload your luggage prior to entering the passenger terminal to complete our ‘airline style’ registration process. 3. Luggage *** Important Message *** As Couran Cove Island Resort ferry passenger terminal operates as an “Airline-style” operation, the following conditions of luggage transfer will apply. All luggage is stored in airline-styled luggage containers and loaded on to the rear deck of the passenger ferry. For this reason all items loaded must be appropriately sealed suitcases, suit bags or hand luggage. There is a maximum of two (2) luggage items per person for checked baggage, and these must weigh no more than 32kg per item. Luggage weight exceeding 32kg per item will not be transported due to Occupational, Health and Safety conditions. If you exceed the number of pieces allowable there will be a cost of $11.00 per item over this limit charged to your account, and will be transferred on a later ferry. Couran Cove Island Resort will not transport luggage that contains alocohol, explosive or dangerous goods, glass, fragile, breakable or perishable items, electronic equipment (eg; laptop computers, cameras, etc) or wedding gowns/suit bags. Any food items must be contained in a suitable food transport container with closed lid and not exceeding the above described weight regulations. Your luggage must be clearly marked with suitable tags that reflect the name of the guest who will be resident at the Resort. Luggage transfer to your room will take approximately 55 minutes from the time of arrival onto the island. A maximum of two (2) items of hand luggage per person (excluding infants) is permitted on board the passenger ferry – please note that hand luggage must be within standard airline specifications; 56cm(w) x 36cm(h) x 23cm(d) and weigh no more than 32kg per item. Hand luggage carriage is at the sole discretion of Gold Coast Ferry's (contracted operators of ferry transfers to/from Couran Cove Island Resort). Kindly note that Couran Cove Island Resort is not responsible/liable for damage to luggage. 4. Alcoholic Beverages Couran Cove will not transport alcoholic beverages to the island via our luggage trolleys so as to prevent possible breakages. Please refer to above luggage conditions for hand luggage. A general store on the island provides both beverages and other grocery, clothing and gift items you may wish to purchase. Mini bar packs for your room may be purchased from the Boardwalk Bar & Café. 5. Resort Policy on Smoking & availability of Tobacco Tobacco products are NOT available for purchase on the resort therefore it is advisable to bring sufficient supplies to last for the duration of your stay. As all rooms are non-smoking, smoking is restricted to outside your accommodation room or in designated areas with-in our Food & Beverage outlets. Please note: no smoking is permitted on board the passenger ferry. |
