This is Australia's most exclusive resort, an indulgent tropical private haven, lying off the coast of Cairns. At Bedarra, guests can do as they wish, when they wish. A maximum of just 32 guests are accommodated in 16 secluded Villas, each hidden in the rainforest, only minutes from the beach. Superbly appointed, each has a separate living area, spacious bathroom and king size bed. On the balcony, guests can relax and contemplate the beauty and calm of this elegant retreat. The cuisine is exquisite here. The tantalising menus change daily, with an emphasis on fresh seafood and exotic tropical produce. A popular lunch option is a romantic beach picnic with a gourmet hamper. While the focus on Bedarra Island is on peace and relaxation, there are also many activities to enjoy, such as catamaran sailing, paddle-skiing, fishing, snorkelling and diving day trips to the Great Barrier Reef, as well as motorised dinghies for exploring the island's picturesque, private beaches. The PavilionsThe ultimate indulgence. Removed from the main resort area, the two Pavilions are set in exclusive, private locations with stunning views over Wedgerock Bay. An open plan layout, featuring extensive use of timber and glass, is designed to take full advantage of the spectacular views and create an inviting indoor/outdoor ambience. Interior details are of a superior quality including a surround sound system.

To get to Bedarra Island regular flights are available to Cairns from all Australian Capital cities with Qantas and Virgin Blue. Alternatively Queensland Rails offers two Tilt trains and three Sunlander departures from Brisbane to Cairns. Once arriving at Cairns you are either able to hop on a short 45 minute flight to Voyages Dunk Island with Hinterland Transfers or alternatively a boat transfer operates from Mission beach 3 times a day. Cairns Limousines offer a meet/greet service from Cairn Airport and Cairns City to Mission Beach. Cars depart daily on demand and seat up to 3 passengers with luggage. Larger Vehicles are also available. Once arriving at Dunk Island a 20 minute boat transfer between Dunk and Bedarra Islands meets Hinterland transfers daily. Request at time of booking through Voyages. See below for more details. Access to Voyages Bedarra Island is via Voyages Dunk Island. AirRegular flights are available from all major Australian capital cities to Voyages Dunk Island via Cairns with Qantas and Virgin Blue. Air transfer - Hinterland AviationHinterland Aviation operates flights between Cairns Airport and Dunk Island up to 3 times daily. Alternatively, if you would prefer a private transfer charter flights are also available. Group bookings of 10 or more passengers must charter a flight. Groups of 9 or less passengers may travel on the scheduled Hinterland flights. Flights take approximately 45 minutes. PLEASE NOTE: There are no transfers to Bedarra Island on Christmas Day. Private Chauffeured Car TransferCairns Limousines offer a meet/greet service from Cairns Airport and Cairns City to Mission Beach. Cars depart daily on demand and seat up to 3 passengers with luggage. Larger vehicles are also available. Your car transfer can connect with a Quickcat boat transfer to Dunk Island which departs to and from Mission Beach twice a day. RailQueensland Rail offers two Tilt Train and three Sunlander departures from Brisbane and Cairns to Tully. Guests travelling to Bedarra Island can catch a taxi from Tully Rail Station to Mission Beach. Alternatively guests can book a coach transfer from Cairns to Mission Beach to connect with the island ferry. Boat TransferThe Quickcat departs from Clump Point Jetty at Mission Beach to Dunk Island Jetty. Mission Beach is approximately 2 hours by road south of Cairns. Transfer time is approximately 20 minutes. Water transfers can be arranged from the mainland township of Mission Beach to Dunk Island.
